An 11-run third inning led the Splitter Nation varsity softball team to a 13-1 victory over AA Huron in game one of the SEC crossover doubleheader. Big bats in the inning were led by singles by Kiley Lewandowski, Cassidy Kane, Madison Cunningham, Aubrie Lafferty, and Harper Crews and doubles by McKenna Johnson and Jenna Gould.
Senior pitcher, Jenna Gould, earned the win in the pitchers circle. She allowed three hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one batter. Cassidy Kane threw one and one-third innings in relief.
