On Wednesday afternoon Lincoln failed to stave off the sweep by the Vikings of Jackson. Jackson jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Lincoln would scratch their way back into the game and took a 3-3 tie into the 7th.
Jackson manufactured 2 runs in the top of the 7th. Miles Carter lead off the bottom of the second with a lead off single. Jackson Meyer would pinch run. He was able to work his way to third. With two outs and Ethan Rose at the plate Meyer scored on a pass ball to pull Lincoln within 1. Rose would walk but the Vikings closer was able to get Brian Jones to end the game.
