In the second SEC crossover game of the day, the Railsplitters grounded the Skyline Eagles, 5-1.
Lincoln wasted no time jumping out to a 1-0 lead on Ethan Rose’s third home run of the season.
In the top of the fourth, Miles Carter knocked in, what would become the game winning run, Dylan Thompson with a sharp double to the left field gap.
In the top of the 7th, Wesley Henson lead off with a single, then Kyjuan Rice doubled. Jones, on a 1-1 count, smashed a bases clearing double to right center giving Lincoln an insurmountable 5-1 lead.
Jackson Meyer was the starting pitcher and earned the win, allowing 0 runs on 3 hits, striking out 2 in 3 IP. Carter pitched two innings as well.
Jones was the player of the game as he also pitched two innings and earned the save.
