Game one of the doubleheader against Tecumseh featured two of the top pitching prospects in the state of Michigan, Lincoln’s Jaylyn Bullock and Tecumseh’s Cameron Wagner. Neither disappointed in front of the dozen college scouts seated behind home plate.
Bullock pitched five innings giving up only two hits while striking out nine and walking nobody. The only run Tecumseh scored off him came in the bottom of the second inning with a Wagner lead off triple to the right center gap and and RBI single by Ty Rhodes.
In the top of the fourth Javian Davis lead off the inning with a sharp double to right off Wagner. With one out, Ethan Rose put the ball in play with two strikes and was able to plate Davis.
The game remained tied until the bottom of the sixth when Wagner and Rhodes manufactured the game winning run for the Indians.
