Community Education Policies
All Community Education classes follow the Lincoln Consolidated School calendar. Our policy includes that there will be no classes held when school is closed for school breaks or for inclement weather. In addition, there will not be classes scheduled during conferences (am or pm only days). Please view the master calendar on the school website at www.lincolnk12.org under the "Quick Links" tab or the current “Communicator.”
A full refund will be made if:
(1) a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, or
(2) a class fills before your registration is processed
*To obtain a refund for a class that you wish to cancel, you must contact the Community Education office before the class begins or immediately after the first class. All refunds will include a $5.00 processing fee.
WAIT LIST POLICY
Wait list occurs when the class has reached it’s maximum registrations. If multiple classes are available please register for your second choice. You may leave your name on the wait list and if a student cancels or another class is added you will be contacted.
SCHOOL CLOSING POLICY
When the Lincoln Consolidated School District is closed due to weather conditions, ALL Community Education programs are canceled. In addition, scheduled use of the facilities by community organizations are also subject to cancelation.
As a general rule, programs are canceled if it is absolutely necessary due to inclement weather, mechanical failures, etc. Classes that are forced to be canceled will be rescheduled (when possible). The course instructor will notify all participants if a make-up date is possible or necessary. Refunds are not issued due to unforeseen circumstances that result in class cancelations.
The Community Education office is located at the west end high school in the enrollment office near the Performing Arts Center.
Walk-In office hours are Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
