Athletic Contest Spectator Policy

Lincoln Family,

Athletic contests are starting all across the fall sport spectrum.  Some sports with traditionally larger crowds are here, with Soccer at home today...and Football games starting this Friday.

We love having you at games, but I'm reaching out today to let you know that state law (most specifically Executive Order 176) will make your attendance more difficult this fall.  Each athlete gets two fans, and only two fans.  In order to attend games, you must be one of two names on our participant's "Will Call" list.  We won't be allowed to admit additional spectators.

Attendance at contests are limited to two spectators per participant for any crowd that exceeds 100.  Here's what we're doing for fall attendance:
  • Cross Country -  Determined by site.  When necessary, names are submitted by the athlete 48 hours in advance of the contest.  In some cases, state/county parks have increased scrutiny.  Some XC events have been limited to zero spectators.  Where groups can remain socially distanced, spectators are allowed in groups up to 100.
  • Football/Cheer - 2 spectators per participant.  Names are submitted by the athlete 48 hours in advance of the contest.
  • Golf - Unless crowds increase, tennis spectators do not have to register in advance.  Crowds (including teams) have consistently remained under 100.
  • Soccer -  2 spectators per participant.  Names are submitted by the athlete 48 hours in advance of the contest.
  • Swim & Dive -  2 spectators per participant.  Names are submitted by the athlete 48 hours in advance of the contest.
  • Tennis - We're monitoring, but right now tennis spectators do not have to register in advance.  Crowds (including teams) have consistently remained under 100.
  • Volleyball -  2 spectators per participant.  Names are submitted by the athlete 48 hours in advance of the contest.
In addition to these restrictions, all spectators must wear masks at all times during athletic contests.

Due to these restrictions, we have suspended the sale of athletic passes.  It's not fair to ask families to pay for a family pass, when we have to restrict access to contests in the way that we're required to.  Once we're back to an open policy, we'll offer a pro-rated pass amount.  To staff...your badge still works for free admission, but does not supersede the two person per athlete rule.  If you're not on the list, we aren't allowed to let you in.

Thanks for working with us through the start of fall sports.  We hope to see you (as many as we're allowed to have) at games this fall!
