I really enjoy coaching and working with the girls at LHS. They make me proud with their work ethic and strength. They truly can do more than they think they can. Watching them achieve their goals after dedicated training is what it’s all about!

Oddly enough, I was never a runner until I turned 40. I coach with my wife Lisa who has run since high school. I began my journey running dozens of 5k’s, but then got the long distance bug and have run 12 half marathons so far. I didn’t stop there. I wondered what it would be like to train for a marathon and had Boston in the back of my mind. I have run 4 total, but ran 3 marathons before qualifying for Boston in 2009. Running The Boston Marathon in 2010 was a goal and dream come true. It was an experience like no other! I had one more goal after Boston...run a 50k(31 miles) ultra marathon! I trained and accomplished this goal running the race on icy/snowy trails in 2012.
