Lincoln Cheer Breaks School Record at Districts with a 649.22! Lincoln Cheer wrapped up their season at Districts placing 8th and taking home a school record score of 649.22.  The team missed 7th place by 3.46 points.  In a District where the same top teams go to States every year, the girls should be very proud of their final performance of the season. The team scored 205 in Round 1, 178.22 in Round 2, and 268 in Round 3.  It was an exciting, yet sad evening, as the senior cheerleaders saw their cheer careers come to an end. Lincoln Varsity Cheer - 3rd Place SEC White Lincoln Girls Varsity Cheer took 2nd place at the 3rd and final SEC Jamboree on Monday, February 11, 2019 and placed 3rd overall in the SEC White Division. Lincoln was in 1st place in their final SEC Comp headed into Round 3 but just didn't have enough in them to beat Tecumseh, losing by 4.46 points.  The team is headed to Districts on Friday, February 15, 6pm at SouthGate Anderson High School. Lincoln Girls Varsity Cheer takes 2nd place at the Saline Cheer Invitational on Saturday, February 9, 2019, missing 1st place by just 2.46 points and scoring their highest of the season at 636.42! The girls put on a fight Saturday, finally beating a league rival that they have yet to beat this season by a huge margin of 23.62 points.  Lincoln scored great in all three rounds with a 203.5 in Round 1, 179.92 in Round 2, and 253.0 in Round 3. Things are coming together just in time for Districts! The girls take the mats at home on Monday, February 11 at 6pm for the final SEC showdown.  Come out and cheer them on as they try to beat Tecumseh for the league title. Lincoln Varsity Cheer Team takes 4th place at the SEC White Jamboree #2 of 3 meets at Pinckney High School on Thursday, February 7, 2019. The team was in 2nd place by two-tenths of a point coming out of Round 1. A judge mistakenly assigned penalty points to Lincoln in Round 2 and would not remove the points causing the team to fall out of 2nd place by Round 2 and knock them out of a 3rd place finish by the end of Round 3. The team travels to Saline High School on Saturday, February 9, and will host the final SEC White Jamboree at Lincoln High School on Monday, February 11.  The girls would love some support at their home comp before heading to Districts on Friday, February 15 at Southgate Anderson High School.

ALL COUNTY CHAMPS!! Lincoln's Varsity Competitive Cheer Team named North American Spirit's All-Washtenaw County Champion at Warren Mott High School on Saturday, Feb 2, 2019.  The team finished in 4th place in Division 2 with their highest score this season of 626.44. The girls kept their composure and earned top honors despite arriving later than anticipated to their comp due to unforseen circumstances and instituting some last minute changes due to illness.  They scored one of their highest scores in round 1 at 206.8, 166.34 in round 2, and their highest score in round 3 at 253.3.  The girls travel to Pinckney this Thursday, February 7 at 6pm for the 2nd of 3 competitions in the SEC Jamboree. Congratulations to the Lincoln Varsity Competitive Cheer team for taking 1st Place in Division 2 at the Splitter Invitational on Saturday, January 19!   The team had to make some last minute changes the night before and woke up to some bad weather and road conditions but they persevered!   Despite the weather, the fans were fired up and ready to support the team and honor our senior cheerleaders at the event.  Lincoln scored 193.6 in round 1, 165.78 in round 2, and 233.2 in round 3 (after 16 penalty points). The team travels to Clinton High School on Saturday, January 26 at 10 am.  They will be back at home for the SEC Jamboree #2 on Thursday, January 31 at 6pm.  Please come out again to support them! The Lincoln Varsity Competitive Cheer Team traveled to Chelsea High School on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 for the 2nd Annual Bulldogs Invite.  The girls had a great meet putting 3 good rounds out on the floor, hitting all their stunts and tumbling in round 3.  The team was in 1st place after round 1, dropped to 3rd by the end of round 2 due to a penalty, and finished in 5th place after a disappointing score in round 3. The team hosts the Splitter Invitational at Lincoln High School, on Saturday, January 19 at 10 am.  Cost is $5. The girls Varsity Competitive Cheer Team traveled to Hudson for the Tiger Tournament this past Saturday, January 12, 2019.  The team had a good start heading into round 3 in second place with a round 1 score of 190.8 and round 2 score of 161.7.  Penalties in round 2 and 3 dropped the team to a 4th place finish overall.  The girls will be back at it this week at the Bulldogs Competition at Chelsea High School on Wed, January 16, and they will be hosting their own Splitter Invitational on Saturday, January 19 at 10am at the Lincoln High School East Gym.  Cost is $5.  Come out and cheer on our cheerleaders! The Varsity Competitive Cheer Team competed in it's 3rd meet of the season, the Chief's Christmas Classic, at New Boston Huron High School, on Friday, December 21.   The girls improved scores in all 3 rounds from the previous week and took home a 3rd place trophy.  The team will compete next on Thursday, January 10, 6pm, at Adrian High School for the first of three SEC League Meets. The Lincoln Varsity Competitive Cheer team began its 2018-2019 season by attending the Competitive Cheer Coaches Association of Michigan Scholarship invitational on Saturday, December 8. Each year this invitational honors eligible competitive cheer athletes from the State of Michigan with academic scholarships.  Seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through their Junior year are eligible to apply and must submit an essay, transcripts and letters of recommendations for consideration.  Award amounts are based on funds raised through the competitions. The team has been working hard since November preparing its Round 1 Visual and Round 2 synchronized for competition and hope to get Round 3 Stunting out on the floor soon so they can show off their tumbling and stunting skills. They were excited to put the routines out on the floor Saturday and can't wait to get back to practice and work hard to get the scores up in the coming weeks in preparation for the competitions coming up after the holiday break.
