Lincoln JV softball wins game two against Chelsea.
Game two was a pitching duel. After a scoreless first two innings, Jennilee Lundell lead off the third with a triple. She scored on a fielders choice. Lacey Linne singled, Paige Cunningham singled, Taylor Coon walked and with bases loaded Maddie Bahulak singled to right driving in two runs. Chelsea got one run in the third. Lincoln got that run back in the fourth.
In the fifth, Chelsea scored two runs to make it a one run game but in the sixth with two outs Grace Watson got a single and Jennilee Lundell drove a shot deep to center field scoring Grace and than scoring on the throw to home. The splitters closed out the last two innings by only allowing one batter to reach base.
Jennilee Lundell had the hot bat going three for four with two RBIs. Paige Cunningham toed the rubber having a stellar night. She allowed five hits, walking one but striking out sixteen batters. This was a real team effort!
