The ladies of Splitter Nation defeated Skyline in the SEC conference game of the doubleheader by a score of 15-9 thanks to a strong start. Lincoln scored on a single by Madison Williams, a walk by Jenna Gould, and a single by Harper Crews in the second inning.
Offensively, Lincoln tallied six runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Lauren Snyder and Harper Crews, a fielder's choice by Madison Williams, and a double by McKenna Johnson.
In the pitching circle, Aubrie Lafferty led the team to victory on the rubber. She lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and seven runs while striking out four and walking one.
Lincoln collected 14 hits on the day. Harper Crews, McKenna Johnson, and Lauren Snyder each had multiple hits for the team. Harper Crews went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Lincoln offensively for game one.
