Lincoln claimed a 10-4 victory on Wednesday in game 2, despite a big push by Milan in the third inning.
The Railsplitters got on the board in the first inning. Kaylee Hotchkiss singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
The team then put up four runs in the fourth inning. Hotchkiss, Cassidy Kane, and Lauren Snyder all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Kane pitched her team to victory. She went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four. Aubrie Lafferty threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Lincoln racked up nine hits on the day. Hotchkiss, Jenna Gould, and Kane each managed multiple hits. Hotchkiss went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Defensively, Lincoln didn't commit a single error in the field. Kiley Lewandowski had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
