In game two of Monday’s doubleheader Lincoln won by a score of 19-4. Lincoln turned over their entire lineup from game one but the bats stayed red hot. They were lead by Junior Catcher, Andrew Sweet. He caught a great game and went 3-3 at the plate with a double and 2 RBI.
Lincoln jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Jion Thomas drove in Trevor Jones. The boys broke it open in the bottom of the second, scoring 6 runs. Sweet had an RBI double and Cade Rickman had a two out 2 RBI single. They put up 6 runs in the 3rd and 4th. The 3rd inning was powered by Jackson Meyer’s 2 RBI single. The Wes Henson completed the mercy with a 2 RBI single in the fourth.
Lincoln looks for the sweep on Wednesday at 4:30 at Ypsilanti High School.
