The Lincoln Varsity Competitive Cheer team began its 2018-2019 season by attending the Competitive Cheer Coaches Association of Michigan Scholarship invitational on Saturday, December 8. Each year this invitational honors eligible competitive cheer athletes from the State of Michigan with academic scholarships.  Seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through their Junior year are eligible to apply and must submit an essay, transcripts and letters of recommendations for consideration.  Award amounts are based on funds raised through the competitions.

The team has been working hard since November preparing its Round 1 Visual and Round 2 synchronized for competition and hope to get Round 3 Stunting out on the floor soon so they can show off their tumbling and stunting skills. They were excited to put the routines out on the floor Saturday and can't wait to get back to practice and work hard to get the scores up in the coming weeks in preparation for the competitions coming up after the holiday break.
